What We Do
We develop ideas and project plans that lead to provision of relevant services or goods that enhance the quality of life of rural and semi-urban communities through partnerships and collaborations with different stakeholders. Our projects focus on three key areas that fulfill our mission: training, research, and business development.
Our "Platform business model" develops networking platforms, collaborative partnerships, and operational documents like manuals and training curricula that provide avenues for building internal capacity for organizations and promoting external relationships to strengthen their projects and programs. The interconnection between these players in promoting community development is a critical component of our projects. Our services are offered on the basis of our key focus areas. Our clients therefore have a choice to hire an embedded "business development executive (BDE)" to work closely with management to realize specified goals under specific conditions in a predetermined duration of time. Our BDE is available to travel to the client location and be established until the given work is completed. Alternatively, an organization can benefit from our research capacities by hiring us to establish whether specific conditions suitable for their desired activities exist within a given geographical environment. Finally, we have professional trainers with the capacity to train on various topics that may be of great value to our clients. Find out more about our services by clicking the button below. |
Who We AreMillennial Legacy is incorporated in Kenya. We utilize a platform business model to attract, interact with, and enhance the experiences of our clients. We came into existence in 2014 to provide services in a unique setting where organizations lack significant decision making tools and extra expertise because of constraints of both bureaucratic and resource orientations. We realized that while organizations form with the express commitment to either better the lives of their beneficiaries or make money for their shareholders, some of their activities are hindered by lack of resources to hire extra personnel. We also discovered that some are constrained by the bureaucratic procedures that make decisions on hiring new staff or creating long legally binding agreements with new contractors difficult to achieve. While this reality certainly did not mean an organization would fail, it did not guarantee the desired success. Some organizations were also start-ups with limited capacity to hire for long term.
As a result, we have worked with different start-ups to promote their success in the three essential P's (People, Planet, Profit). Our key successes include the Jualight Project which has had a significant success in distribution of 2,500 solar lamps in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. We have also worked closely with the Stoke Project where we are partnering in the local production and distribution of low-cost environmentally friendly cook-stoves. Finally, we are part of small scale business training in Kisumu County through different platforms. Our core business is a work in progress and the Blog section provides the reviews from some of our clients. Find out more about us on a daily basis by following @MillenialLegacy on twitter.
